REQUESTS AND RESERVATIONS

You can request loan-a-box rentals, purchase additional roll cart containers and request extra dumpster dumps (businesses only).

This service is available to those within the urban service boundary. Use the MapIt! tool to find out if you’re in the urban service boundary. There will be a shaded area that shows the urban service boundary. Addresses inside the boundary are eligible for the loan-a-box program.

For multiple-day rentals, select start date first, then from the page that asks for your name, address, etc. (booking form), select “Add to Booking” button in the top left corner to select additional day(s) from available dates on the calendar. Please make a note in the NOTES field on the booking form if you want boxes swapped daily or if you want to keep the same box until pickup day.

Loan-a-boxes selected for delivery on Tuesdays will not be picked up until Thursdays at no extra charge, except for holiday weeks.  On a week where the city honors a holiday and pickups are made on the Wednesday makeup day, a Tuesday rental will be picked up the following day.   

PAYMENT

Fees must be paid online during the booking process. There is no longer an option for reserving without paying or using in-person payments by check, cash or money order.

Credit cards, debit cards and electronic checks are now accepted online at the time of booking. Kentucky.gov provides the City of Lexington's payment processor.

CANCELATIONS

To cancel, call (859) 425-2255 before 4 p.m. one day before the scheduled delivery.  Customers may also email wastemanagement@lexingtonky.gov to notify of cancelations.
